NBA Playoff Picture – Thursday

Check what changed since yesterday on the standings and which team is still fighting for what

Continuing with our daily updates on the NBA Playoff Picture in these last regular season days, let’s see the scenario this Thursday (6). With only four more days in the regular season, everything is almost decided in the East. However, in the West, eight teams still don’t know their future so far. Check out the situation in each conference now with ThePicks.

East

What happened after yesterday’s slate was the fact that the Atlanta Hawks don’t have any chances of making it directly to the playoffs anymore. Since the Brooklyn Nets won, they confirmed that the Hawks will have to go through the play-in tournament if they want to go to the playoffs.

Meanwhile, the Miami Heat is the only team fighting with the Nets now. Miami plays tonight versus the Philadelphia 76ers. If they win, they keep hunting Brooklyn to fight for the last playoff spot in the East. If they lose, everything will be set, and they will also go to the play-in tournament.

The Philadelphia 76ers are already qualified and have the #3 seed almost secured. If they win tonight, they confirm their spot. And another factor in favor of Philadelphia (which could be a problem for the Heat) is Joel Embiid. He is still fighting for the MVP trophy and is hungry for great performances. Check out the chances of making it directly to the playoffs for the only two teams still fighting for that:

West

In the West, everything remains open. We still have eight teams fighting for something in the conference. Three of them are still at risk of being eliminated and can’t make it directly to the playoffs anymore. Check out the updated chances of each team to either clinch their playoff or play-in spot or even be knocked out.
