Justin Herbert Did Not Practice Friday - NFL Week 3

Justin Herbert was limited in practice on Thursday. The Los Angeles Chargers released their injury report in the late afternoon.

The Los Angeles Chargers updated their injury report on Friday afternoon. It's now getting very close to game day on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Justin Herbert, their QB1, was limited in practice on Thursday and did not participate on Friday. It feels like the quarterback is on the doubtful side, however, his official status is questionable.

Herbert has suffered from a rib problem since Week 2's Thursday night game when his team lost to the Kansas City Chiefs. Late in the game, it was clear that Herbert was suffering from body pain, even as he completed deep passes to keep his side alive in the Week 2 game. The Chargers fell last week 27-24 to fall to 1-1 on the season.

The Chargers may be lucky that they are on a long week for off-time between Weeks 2 and 3. It has been a week since the injury took place so clearly that has not been enough time for Herbert to recover.

Jacksonville Could be Tough Without Justin Herbert

The Chargers will face Jacksonville in a game from Los Angeles on Sunday. Jacksonville is set as the heaviest underdog of Week 3. However, should Herbert remain questionable for much longer, the money will probably start to go the Jaguars' way. They do have a respectable defense. If their starting QB, Trevor Lawrence, can put together back-to-back games then Jacksonville. In fact, a good preview of the game is difficult to write without Herbert's playing status known.

NFL fans will be awaiting an update. Final injury reports are offered on Fridays.
