Myles Garrett Injury - Playing Status Questionable for Thursday night's NFL game

Myles Garrett's injury and the impact it will have on Thursday night's game isn't clear as of Tuesday night. Updates are pending.

TJ Watt won't play in the Thursday night game in the NFL, this we already knew. The defensive standout went on the injured reserve for the Pittsburgh Steelers after Week 1.

NFL football fans, as of early Wednesday morning, are still waiting on updates for Myles Garrett, the defensive star of the Cleveland Browns. Garrett missed practice on Tuesday, meaning the Cleveland reporters will be looking for him at practice on Wednesday. If he misses it then the chances of him missing Thursday night's game increase. That, in turn, could change the Week 3 Thursday night game into a track meet.

Myles Garrett - injury is to his neck

One social media account to watch for a Garrett update is on Twitter. Check out The Browns Wire for an update.

Whenever you hear "neck injury" in the NFL, it's definitely a cause for concern. However, Garrett's playing status is "Questionable" and that's better than "Doubtful" and certainly better than "Out" or "Injured Reserve." At first glance, it would seem that the neck injury is not a serious one but updates are pending.

Myles Garrett has three sacks on the season already. Should he miss the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, then it would definitely help Pittsburgh out. In fact, the spread for the game moved from -5.5 to -4.5 when news came out that Garrett was questionable.

Interestingly enough, Garrett is also the favorite to lead the NFL in sacks this season. Bet365 sportsbook has Garrett at +450 (9/2) in the market. TJ Watt was the preseason favorite, however, due to the volume of games that he will miss, betting odds on Watt are no longer offered. You have to think that Garrett is, in fact, a little overrated at this point.

One missed game doesn't determine anything in the season-long battles for totals, however, it certainly doesn't help. That's especially true in the NFL, where they only play 17 games in the regular season.
