Saints vs Browns: NFL Week 16 injury report

The New Orleans Saints, a 5-9 team in the NFC South, will be in Cleveland on December 24th, 2022. They are +2.5 (bet365) on the spread for the game as they prepare to face the Cleveland Browns, a team that had some key players missing from practice on Tuesday, in Week 16 (Saturday).

Myles Garrett: DNP on Tuesday after practice

Myles Garrett, a defensive end for Cleveland, was listed on the injury report as of Tuesday after practice. Garrett has an illness, according to the report. He has been fairly reliable in recent weeks, however, earlier in the season he appeared on multiple reports with both football and injuries from a car accident.

The following additional players were DNP due to injuries (ie. not rest) on the report for Cleveland: Nick Chubb and Jadeveon Clowney. Each of these players would be a big loss for Cleveland. Clowney is important on defense while Chubb is one of the most effective running backs league-wide. In total, Cleveland had eleven players listed on their half of the injury report.

New Orleans lists nine players on their half of the report

The New Orleans Saints claimed that they did not practice on Tuesday in a news piece released from their official website. They listed nine players on an estimated injury report, including four that were DNP due to illness or injury. Five additional players were LP, however, the DNP and LP statuses are estimations based on the fact that the team did not practice. The Wednesday and Thursday updates will have to be followed with this team.
