NFL Power Rankings Week 6 - Around the Web

NFL Power Rankings Week 6: in this article we look at the author publishers. No one agrees on who should be the top team in the NFL.

Here's a look around the web to see what other publications are thinking when it comes to the top teams in the NFL after Week 5. Below, are the NFL Power Rankings for the top teams for Week 6 for ESPN, CBS, and NFL.com.

ESPN's NFL Power Rankings for Week 6

  1. Kansas City Chiefs
  2. Buffalo Bills
  3. Philadelphia Eagles
  4. Minnesota Vikings
  5. Dallas Cowboys

CBS's NFL Power Rankings for Week 6

  1. Philadelphia Eagles
  2. Buffalo Bills
  3. Kansas City Chiefs
  4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  5. Minnesota Vikings

NFL.com's Power Rankings for Week 6

  1. Buffalo Bills
  2. Philadelphia Eagles
  3. Kansas City Chiefs
  4. San Francisco 49ers
  5. Baltimore Ravens

Dan Hanzus at NFL.com did something interesting. He dropped the Philadelphia Eagles a spot despite the fact that they won in Week 5. You don't really see that, however, you can see what he was thinking. The Eagles barely won while the Bills blew out the Pittsburgh Steelers. The scores appeared to speak to Hanzus.

CBS, on the other hand, is a little harder to figure out. The Eagles get the top spot, presumably, because they are 5-0. But if you don't think past the record, then what's the basis for making 3-2 Tampa Bay the 4th-placed team?

The rankings that matched our own the closest were the ones with NFL.com. We have Buffalo, Philly, and KC as our top three teams at this point.

Looking ahead to Week 6, there are a couple of blockbuster games. Buffalo and KC will meet on Sunday afternoon. In the late game, Philly will meet the Dallas Cowboys. Those are games that could shake up the Top 5 with everyone.
