The New Orleans Pelicans, a team that was playing without Zion Williamson (pictured), hosted the Brooklyn Nets on Friday. The Nets, who suffered a rare defeat in their last game, won against New Orleans in a contest that was fairly close at the final buzzer.

They, the Nets, put up a single-digit spread in the game, winning by 6 points. The final score was Brooklyn 108, and New Orleans 102 as the Nets look to start another winning streak in the NBA.

Nets @ Pelicans Sunday: Kevin Durant scores 33

With the loss, the Pelicans are now 24-15 overall on the season. This is a dangerous time in their season as they play without both Brandon Ingram and Williamson. Bettors should keep a close eye on New Orleans' results and injury reports as there is a chance that the players that are in the lineup end up being overtaxed for minutes.

On Friday, 31-year-old CJ McCollum played 37 minutes, which is a lot, in the loss. The Pelicans are now set up for a loss to Dallas tomorrow as they have no time to rest their weary players before having to contest a difficult opponent.
