Seattle Seahawks lose Rashaad Penny for season

Rashaad Penny has suffered a season-ending injury. Have a look at Seattle's win total for the season with their new RB1.

In an injury that may really hurt the Seattle Seahawks, the team lost RB1 Rashaad Penny for the balance of the NFL season. The verified Twitter account for the Seahawks tweeted the news on Monday morning.

The Seahawks were already thin on talent this season. They were a surprising team to start the season 2-2 after Week 4. However, they lost in Week 5 to drop to 2-3 on the season. With the loss of Penny, Seattle probably can not longer flirt with the idea of challenging for a playoff spot this season. Reportedly, his injury will require surgery.

Seattle Seahawks running back Rashaad Penny suffered a broken fibula and injured the tibia in his left leg on Sunday and will miss the rest of the season, coach Pete Carroll said Monday. Penny's injury will require surgery.

Kenneth Walker III replaces Rashaad Penny

Kenneth Walker III will be the team's new RB1. He was a second-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. The good news with the running back is he has not been as pedestrian as his last name suggests.

In 8 rushing attempts on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints, Walker rushed for 88 yards. That included a 69-yard romp that led to his first NFL touchdown. Seattle fans will be hoping that he's capable of filling the void that is left with Penny's season coming to an end.

Seattle Seahawks - Win Total

For win totals with bet365, the Seattle Seahawks are at 5.5. With 12 games remaining in their schedule, the Seahawks would need to go 4-8 for the balance of the season to beat that win total. Only the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Houston Texans have lower win totals for the current season. However, there are some teams that have the same win total as Seattle.

The Seahawks are entering a difficult part of their schedule. In their next five games, they will face Arizona twice. Other than that, they have the Giants, the Buccaneers, and the Chargers. Seattle will do well to duplicate their 2-3 record over the next five games with a home game against Arizona representing Seattle's best chance for a win.
