It is time for another Playoff Picture of the NFL after Week 12 ended. We had many changes in the teams qualifying for the playoffs since our last Playoff Picture, after Week 8. So, it is time for us to see the 14 teams that would advance to the playoffs if the regular season ended today.
AFC
The biggest change in the AFC so far is in the #1 seed. After many bad games and a few losses, the Kansas City Chiefs are not the best team in the conference anymore. The Baltimore Ravens, now with a 9-3 record, are currently getting the #1 seed and the bye week in the Wild Card Round.
Now the Chiefs are the #2 seed, with an 8-3 record. The Jacksonville Jaguars are the #3 and the Miami Dolphins the #4 seeds so far, clinching home-field advantage in the Wild Card. Pittsburgh Steelers (#5), Cleveland Browns (#6) and Indianapolis Colts (#7) close the list of teams advancing at the moment.
NFC
There are no big surprises and differences here. The Philadelphia Eagles are 10-1 and are by far the #1 seed. The only difference is in the #4 seed. The NFC South is one of the weakest divisions in the league, and basically three teams have real chances of clinching the division and the spot. The New Orleans Saints were the leaders for three weeks, but now the Falcons are.
The San Francisco 49ers are back at the top of the NFC West and with the #2 seed. The Lions are falling to the #3 seed after a few losses. Closing the qualifying teams we have the Dallas Cowboys (#5), the Seattle Seahawks (#6) and the Minnesota Vikings (#7).
In the hunt
Besides all these mentioned teams, we still have a bunch of teams in the hunt for their playoff spot. In the AFC we got the Texans, Broncos, Bills and Bengals. In the NFC, still alive are the Packers, Rams, Saints and Buccaneers.
