NFL Rushing Yards Leaders Week 7 - Nick Chubb

NFL Rushing Yards Leaders heading into Week 7. Nick Chubb and Saquon Barkley are still one-two in the race but whose coming up behind them?

Nick Chubb remains atop the NFL Rushing Yards Leaders with the start of Week 7. Chubb had a 60-yard lead over Saquon Barkley when we looked at this race last week.

That lead shrunk a bit in Week 6, however, Chubb is still No. 1 league-wide. Below are the NFL's rushing yards leaders followed by the betting favorites for the award with bet365 sportsbook.

Top 5 NFL Rushing Yards Leaders starting Week 7

  1. Nick Chubb - 649 yards
  2. Saquon Barkley - 616 yards
  3. Josh Jacobs - 490 yards
  4. Miles Sanders - 485 yards
  5. Lamar Jackson - 451 yards

Top 5 NFL Rushing Yards Betting Favorites starting Week 7

  1. Nick Chubb 11/4 (+275)
  2. Saquon Barkley 16/5 (+320)
  3. Josh Jacobs 8/1 (+800)
  4. Derrick Henry 10/1 (+1000)
  5. Miles Sanders 12/1 (+1200)

What's important to note at this point of the season is that bye weeks have entered into play. For instance, Josh Jacobs was our recommendation in this market last week at 14 to 1. He fell behind in the race in terms of total yards, however, Jacobs' team, the Las Vegas Raiders, did not play in Week 6. That means Jacobs has one more game left in his schedule.

Accordingly, it is understandable that his odds shortened from 14 to 1 to 8 to 1 after Chubb and Barkley had below-average weeks for personal rushing stats. Chubb rushed for 56 yards in Week 6, a low total for a betting favorite. Barkley was more effective but he had just 83 yards for the New York Giants.

Week 6 Rushing Yards Leaders

The weekly leader for Week 6 was Kenyan Drake of the Baltimore Ravens. He had 119 yards for his team. The total was out of the blue and Drake still does not have betting odds available in this market.

Breece Hall was the No. 2 rusher last week. He went for 116 yards as the New York Jets emerged as a contender for the NFL playoffs.

Breece is way out at 50 to 1 with bet365 to lead the league in rushing yards this season. After Week 6, he has 391 total rushing yards on the campaign. He may be a player we will look at later this week when we focus on a betting tip in this market.
