The Monday Night Football closing the NFL Week 12 was terrible. On many levels. But in the end, at least, we had a little excitement with a close game. The Chicago Bears beat the Minnesota Vikings 12-10 on MNF and was the first team to win a game this season without scoring a touchdown. The only TD of the game was scored by Minnesota.
Chicago started the game playing very well. The offense produced a lot of yards and the defense didn’t allow many plays and yards for Minnesota. However, the Bears missed a field goal and lost many opportunities to score points. That’s why they could only score one field goal in the whole first half of the game.
After many mistakes, including two interceptions thrown by Joshua Dobbs, the Vikings were somehow still alive in the game. And in the last play of the first half, they tied the game 3-3. Then, in the second half, another two picks for Dobbs, who ended the game with four INTs. But he also connected a nice TD pass to T.J. Hockenson, the only of the game.
But on the other side, Chicago also scored more points in the second half. And it was all field goals. Kicker Cairo Santos won the game for the Bears, even though he missed his first field goal attempt of the game. He scored all 12 points of the team and Chicago is up to 4-8. Minnesota fell to 6-6.
