NFL Injuries Round-up following Week 3

NFL injuries are updated following each game. Here are some of the key ones after Week 3's Sunday schedule.

The injured in NFL Week 3 included quarterback Mac Jones of the New England Patriots. The Pats, now 1-2, lost to the Baltimore Ravens (2-1) on Sunday 37-26. Jones suffered an injury toward the end of the game and could be seen limping off the field. Jones has already gone to x-rays for the injury and they were negative, meaning that they did not find a fractured or broken bone.

David Montgomery, Chicago's RB1, also made injury news. The Bears defeated the Houston Texans 23-20 to continue their positive start to the season. They will be hoping that Montgomery, who exited the game with injuries to his right leg, will recover as soon as possible. Montgomery had three rushing attempts in the game and ran for just 11 yards.

Neither Chicago nor New England can afford bad updates

Neither the New England Patriots nor the Chicago Bears can afford to lose either of the above-mentioned players. Any team that loses their top quarterback will likely suffer in the standings. But New England was talent-thin from the start of the season. Chicago was fortunate that they were playing a weak team in Houston in Week 3 as the Bears pushed on a three-point spread. Both players are questionable for Week 4 as of late on Sunday.

The Minnesota Vikings also lost a key offensive player. Running back Dalvin Cook suffered a dislocated shoulder in Minnesota's win over Detroit.

The Minnesota Vikings lost tailback Dalvin Cook to a shoulder injury in the third quarter of Sunday's 28-24 win over the Detroit Lions. Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell said after the game Cook will be day to day.
