The Washington Wizards are one of the teams on the bubble heading into the NBA's home stretch. They hosted the New York Knicks on Friday, a game where both teams were returning from the All-Star break.

The Knicks, behind a stellar 46 points from Julius Randle, won the game in a contest that was fairly close at the final buzzer. The Knicks put up a single-digit spread in the game, winning by 6 points. The final score was New York 115, and Washington 109 as New York continues fine form that has lasted almost for almost two months.

Knicks @ Wizards Friday: Knicks winning lots

With the loss, the Wizards are now 28-31 overall on the season. They had their big three on hand for this game, Bradley Beal, Kristaps Porzingis, and Kyle Kuzman. Certainly, not every game has been like that for the Wizards this season. However, the individual performance of the game went to New York's Randle, who was actually flat in all statistical categories except for scoring.

The Knicks improved to 34-27 with the 6-point victory. The Knicks are now seven games over .500 in the standings. They are in a position to miss the play-in tournament with direct playoff qualification should they stay consistent. That is partly due to their ability to win ton he road. With Friday's victory, they are now 17-12 as visitors, a slightly better record than their home record.
