NBA Recap November 12th/22 - Brooklyn surging

NBA recap for November 12th, 2022. The Utah Jazz suffered their fourth defeat of the season. The Nets continue to turn their season around.

There were a lot of NBA games on Saturday evening, November 12th. Here's a look at what went down in the association with the Brooklyn Nets among the winners for the night.

Brooklyn playing well since Steve Nash firing

The Brooklyn Nets continued to turn their season around on Saturday night. They were on the road against a tough Los Angeles Clippers team. The Nets came away with a solid 15-point victory while holding the Clippers to just 95 points in the contest. The final score was 110-95.

The Nets still have a losing record on the season at 6-7, however, they have won four of their last five games. Their only setback was a two-point loss to the Mavericks in a game that Dallas hosted.

Utah Jazz drop one to the Washington Wizards

The Utah Jazz suffered their fourth defeat of the season on Saturday. They fell to the Washington Wizards 121-112. Kystaps Porzingis was huge in the game for the Wizards. He scored 31 points and had 10 rebounds in the contest. Washington has now won three straight and a win against the Jazz is a quality win. Utah, who will play Philadelphia on Sunday, fell to 10-4 on the season.

Toronto Raptors lose to Indiana Pacers

The Toronto Raptors continued to slide without Pascal Siakam in the lineup. The Raptors faced the Indiana Pacers on Saturday and fell 118-104. Thaddeus Young and Otto Porter Jr. both saw a season-high for minutes in the game as the Raptors are short on big men.

The next several games promise to be a difficult stretch for the Raptors, a team that has fallen to 7-7 on the season amidst a few injuries. Besides Siakam, the team recently lost Precious Achiuwa over the long term. Center Khem Burch was also not available for the game. Meanwhile, rookie forward/center Christian Koloko played just six minutes, possibly because he was ineffective in his last outing.

Joel Embiid scores 42 for Philadelphia

The Philadelphia 76ers are trying to turn things around at home. They improved to 3-4 on the season when hosting with a win on Saturday versus the Atlanta Hawks.

Joel Embiid was huge in the game. The center scored 42 points and hauled down ten rebounds for a double-double. Philadelphia will be back in action on Sunday against the Utah Jazz, a game that will put the 76ers to the test. All of Philly's starters played 30-40 minutes on Saturday and the short turnaround between games should work against Philly due to that.
