Atlanta Hawks advance to playoffs

Even playing away and being the underdogs, they beat the Miami Heat and are now facing the Boston Celtics

The first game of the NBA Play-In Tournament this season is over. The Atlanta Hawks beat the Miami Heat 116-105 to advance to the playoffs. Even being considered the underdogs before the game, they didn’t give many chances to the home team and clinched their spot in the first round of the actual playoffs.

They started the game very well and went back to the locker rooms winning by 65-50 at halftime. The Miami Heat even tried to come back stronger in the second half but couldn’t win the game. Now the Atlanta Hawks are the #7 seed in the East and are going to play against the Boston Celtics in the first series.

Meanwhile, the losers still have a shot. The Miami Heat will wait for tonight’s game between the Toronto Raptors and Chicago Bulls. Whoever wins, will be the Heat’s rivals in the next Play-In Game, which will decide the last team going to the playoffs in the East.
