She tallied a quality victory in the tournament, beating Jelena Ostapenko in a three-set match. Kerber also beat Veronika Kudermetova in the tournament. When Kerber played in Miami, she lost to Sloane Stephens in the first round in a match that was not too competitive.
When going by Grand Slam results, Kerber's worst surface is clay. But she twice made the quarterfinals at Roland Garros, once during the peak years of her career and another time before hand. She also won Stuttgart twice during the peak years of her career, once in 2016 and then in 2017. Her last entry in the event was two seasons ago, when she lost in the first round after some bad draw luck.
Emma Raducanu's Recent Matches and Results
Raducanu last played in the Billie Jean King Cup, which is not a tour event. She won a match on April 13th against Diane Parry. Raducanu also beat Caroline Garcia in the tournament. These were clay-court matches and the wins might be earning the Brit some bets to beat Kerber.
Previously, Raducanu was in Indian Wells where she survived a couple of rounds and then lost to Aryna Sabalenka. Otherwise, Raducanu is usually winning one match or losing in the first round. At some point, you would think she would be re-establishing herself as a threat as she is still just 21 years old and has won a Grand Slam title already.

I am expecting Raducanu to win this match. I like that she played some recent clay-court matches, even in an exhibition, before starting her season properly on dirt (bet365). I don't know that the difference in talent between the two players is that big. If anything, Raducanu won a major at a much younger age than Kerber first did. In a match that looks like it could be close from some perspectives, I am with the player who is 21 years old instead of the 36-year-old veteran. My recommendation is the British player at -163 on the moneyline (bet365).
Raducanu vs Kerber prediction: Draw at the 2024 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix
The winner of this match might player Jelena Ostapenko. Kerber could feel good about the matchup as she beat Ostapenko in Indian Wells. However, the Latvian will have to beat Linda Noskova to get into the second round. Also, clay is Ostapenko's best surface, at least by Grand Slam results.
