Eagles vs Texans injury report - NFL Week 9

Eagles vs Texans injury report for Week 9. This is for the Thursday night game: Houston is in a miserable predicament.

The Philadelphia Eagles are in great shape heading into their Week 9 game against the Houston Texans. The Eagles list a bunch of names on their half of the team's injury report. However, after practice on Wednesday, only Jordan Davis and Josiah Scott are out. All of the other names that appeared on the injury report were out for rest as opposed to injury.

Houston looks banged up

The Houston Texans are not in good shape. They list five players as out and three as questionable on their half of the injury report. Four starters are either out or questionable for the game.

One of the questionable players is Brandin Cooks, the team's best receiver. The report says that he has a wrist problem but it also says that his status is not due to injury but personal reasons. If Cooks misses the game, then the Texans will need to go with Nico Collins a lot more in their offense. Furthermore, running back Dameon Pearce would become a more important player for the Texans.

The situation appears futile for Houston

The Houston Texans would not have much of a chance against the Philadelphia Eagles even if the Texans were at full strength. The Thursday night game is looking like it could be an ugly one and very one-sided.

The handicap on Houston is +14.0 with bet365. That is the largest handicap of Week 9 and it is one of the largest handicaps of the season. The Texans would really be pulling a rabbit of the hat if they managed to keep this game as a one-possession affair.
