After a three-game slate on Thanksgiving last Thursday, the NFL continues this Friday. The Miami Dolphins and the New York Jets are playing on the first-ever Black Friday Football. This AFC East divisional matchup is also the first NFL game played on a Friday. After today, the NFL will have hosted games on every day of the week throughout its history.
Playing on the road, Miami is favored by 9.5 points this game. The reason is very simple. Although they have lost a couple of big games this season, they usually win the easy ones. And being one of the best teams in the NFL, with a 7-3 record so far, the Dolphins are a much better team than New York.
On the other side, the home team is coming to this game amidst turbulence. Playing without Aaron Rodgers since Week 1, New York relied on QB Zach Wilson for many games. But after a lot of poor performances, he was benched. Tim Boyle is going to play for the Jets tonight and this should be a good thing for Miami.
The first Friday game on the NFL was decided thinking we’d see Tua vs. A-Rod. In reality, Tim Boyle will get the highlights. But let’s be honest here, we probably won’t see much of him. We expect the Jets' offense to have lots of three-and-outs.
