NFL Wild Card Weekend will take place between January 13th and January 15th inclusive. There will be two games on Saturday, three on Sunday, and then there will be a Monday night game to conclude the week. Following the action from NFL Week 18, all of the matchups are known. Our 2024 NFL playoff predictions for Wild Card Weekend will be up soon. For the time being, fans looking for information on the spreads, game times, and fixtures can look at the chart below. Furthermore, we do have one early-bird pick as we are jumping the gun on the injury reports with a recommendation on the Cleveland Browns to cover -2.5.

Return to this page for updates. All of the opening spreads were taken from Unibet late on January 7th, 2023. For the Saturday games, the injury reports will be Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday. Regarding the Sunday games, they will be Wednesday/Thursday/Friday. For the Monday game, they will be on Thursday/Friday/Saturday.

AFC Wild Card Matchups 2024
The Baltimore Ravens are the top seed in the AFC playoffs. They will avoid having to play next weekend. Baltimore was a loser in NFL Week 18, however, the result had no impact on them. They should be a well-rested and prepared team for when the divisional round starts later this month.
Miami Dolphins vs Kansas City Chiefs: 2024 Wild Card Weekend
The Kansas City Chiefs won their division. They will host the Miami Dolphins next week in what will be a No. 3 vs No. 6 game.
These are two teams that head into the playoffs without much momentum. One of them will end up in the divisional round. Miami was the presumptive winner of their division for most of the season. However, they fell at home to the Buffalo Bills on the final night of the season to lose hold of that. They finished the season with an 11-6 record.
Meanwhile, KC was not an elite team this season. They finished 11-6 but there were plenty of lowlights this season. They do enter Wild Card Weekend after Week 18, where they did not have to play with determination.
In a game between Tua Tagovailoa and Patrick Mahomes, you only need one of them to have some fireworks to take a really big bite out of 44.0, the total points for the game. Take the OVER with the expectation that the winning team scores at least 30 and the losing team has just a small balance to pick up.
Cleveland Browns vs Houston Texans: Wild Card Weekend
The Cleveland Browns are a tough team to hate. They lost DeShaun Watson this season, not to mention Nick Chubb. However, they remain a determined team.
Their Wild Card Weekend game will take them to Houston to take on the Texans. The Texans are back in the playoffs after some trying years but seem to have found a quarterback in CJ Stroud. Cleveland might have the better injury report for Wild Card Weekend because they did not have to contest their Week 18 result with determination. Conversely, the Texans won a must-win game over the Colts. Cleveland is our early-bird recommendation to cover -2.5 next week.
Pittsburgh Steelers vs Buffalo Bills
There is nothing wrong with backing Mason Rudolph in this game. His performances have been way too good in the last three games. Conversely, Josh Allen is an INT magnet. In a game that could be fiercely competitive, look for an Allen INT to change momentum. Take the Steelers for the +390 upset.
NFC Wild Card Matchups 2024
In the NFC, the San Francisco 49ers have clinched the No. 1 seed in the conference. Accordingly, they will avoid Wild Card Weekend entirely. The other division winners are the Dallas Cowboys, the Detroit Lions, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bucs enter the playoffs as the only NFC team to host that is also an underdog as they prepare to host the Philadelphia Eagles.
Green Bay Packers vs Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys have a lot of big-spread victories from home this season. I don't think you can ignore a spread of -7.5 for them (bet365) to cover. They covered -7.5 in six of their home games. In fact, they covered -19.5 in six of their home games this season. That includes against two playoff teams in Philadelphia and the Rams. Take the Cowboys to cover in this one in a game where the Super Bowl window remains open for Dak Prescott -- but not by that much. Dallas must take a now-or-never attitude to this game.
Los Angeles Rams vs Detroit Lions
Matthew Stafford leaving Detroit 0-3 in the NFL playoffs, winning a Super Bowl in LA, and then rolling into Detroit and eliminating the Lions after their best season in recent memory is going to hurt a lot. But at least Detroit is used to the pain.
Philadelphia Eagles vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The toughest game for a pick in Wild Card Weekend is the one between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. You have a slumping Eagles team against a TB team that is only in the playoffs because of their weak division. The Bucs do get to host but Philadelphia still has the higher top gear. Take the UNDER in this tough game for moneyline and spread options.
