As we are a new site our guidelines will evolve overtime, both as we look to find efficient ways of working, but also based on the feedback we get from users. We will always ensure that we are transparent – so yes, we do use AI to help us highlight relevant content and in our picks and predictions – and in 2025 we don’t think that’s wrong – as long as we’re honest with you about it.
At ThePicks, everything we publish has one goal: helping you make smarter betting decisions. That means our content has to be accurate, transparent, and trustworthy. Every pick, prediction, and review goes through a clear process to make sure it meets those standards.
Stats & Data: We pull from trusted, verified sources — league databases, official box scores, sportsbook feeds.
Verification: Numbers are checked against multiple outlets before they make it into a story.
Transparency: If lines move or information changes, we update.
We do use AI tools to support our editorial process — mainly for data analysis, trend-spotting, and draft support. But every single piece of content is reviewed, edited, and finalized by a human expert before it’s published. Our AI-assisted picks are grounded in the numbers, but the decision-making and final recommendation always come from us.
Picks & Predictions: AI helps surface patterns and probabilities, but our analysts decide what matters most.
Sportsbook Reviews: 100% written by humans. We personally test each app, compare odds, bonuses, features, and rank books based on a detailed, consistent methodology.
Editorial Voice: Everything is edited to meet our conversational, straight-talking standard before it goes live.
We own our mistakes. If we get something wrong, we’ll correct it quickly and clearly so readers always have the most accurate information in front of them.
