The New York Giants will enter the game with an overall record of 10-7-1 on the season. They listed seven players on their half of the injury report this week. Five of those players were LP in Thursday's practice. It is certainly not a terrible injury report for New York to have.
This New York team is one that seemed to peak early in the season before suffering a lull in the second half. However, they found good form down the stretch and continued that into the playoffs last week, where it resulted in a road win over Minnesota. The general opinion out there with New York is that Daniel Jones is at the peak of his powers. At first glance, +7.5 looks really big for a handicap with the Giants.
Week 14 game: Philly won by lots but....
The Philadelphia Eagles are 14-3 on the season. Philadelphia handed the Giants a 26-point spread in a Week 14 game about a month and a week ago. That will probably loom large in a lot of bettor's minds but the Giants are way more polished right now. If you go back to the Week 14 injury report, there was a lot wrong with New York that week. Specifically, Saquon Barkley carried a neck injury through practice that week.
Expect a tighter game in the Divisional Round in a very intriguing matchup. Each team has its share of players looking to make their mark on the NFL playoffs. Take the Giants at +7.5 as that looks like a lot of points to start with in this game.
