November 23rd, 2022 update: All bets should be off in favor of Davis Mills. He is facing a benching according to reports.
Davis Mills had two interceptions in Week 11. He is now the statistical leader for the category. Furthermore, he is the stand-alone betting favorite to lead the NFL for most INTs this season. However, that should change shortly as Mills is facing a loss of status as Houston’s starting quarterback.
Last week, when we looked at this market he was co-favorited with Kenny Pickett. Here’s a look at the current interceptions leaders along with the betting odds and news related to this market.
NFL INTs leaders heading into Week 12: Davis Mills
- Davis Mills: 11
- Josh Allen: 10
- Matt Ryan: 9
- Matthew Stafford, Kirk Cousins, Joe Burrow, Kenny Pickett, Justin Fields: 8
News related to the INT market
Davis Mills, as of early in the afternoon on Tuesday, was 7/2 (+350) to lead the regular season in INTs. However, in recent news, Mills is reportedly facing the loss of his starting job. The Houston Texans will be going with Kyle Allen, a move that should shake up the odds in the futures market for the INT regular season ‘champion.’
Other favorites have injury news
Josh Allen is on the injury report for Week 12. The problem is his right elbow and he was limited in practice on Monday. Of course, if he doesn’t play then he can’t increase his INT total. However, he is statused as active at his ESPN profile as of Wednesday afternoon.
Matthew Stafford is questionable for Week 12 for Los Angeles. Justin Fields is also questionable for the Chicago Bears.
Matt Ryan is back in the saddle with Indianapolis. He has not thrown an INT in the last two weeks so the nine he threw to start the season might all be on Frank Reich. Ryan, as of early Tuesday, had an active playing status.
