The Dallas Cowboys will enter the game with an overall record of 12-5 on the season. They enter the game with a stronger injury report as they reported fewer players with problems entering the week.
The two teams did play during the regular season. Football fans will likely remember the game, which took place way back in Week 1, because Dallas’ QB, Dak Prescott, sustained an injury in the game. It was this injury that kept him out for several weeks near the start of the season as Cooper Rush proved his worth to the team. Tampa Bay won the Week 1 game 19-3.
Tampa Bay’s scoring problems will take them out
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are 8-9 on the season. They are a rare NFL team, the kind that makes it into the playoffs despite a losing record. One pattern with Tampa Bay that has stayed with them for most of the season is that they don’t have a lot of scoring power.
The Bucs had just 313 “points for” during the regular season. They are -45 on the season for point differential and were actually the worst team in their division from that point of view. They only scored more than 20 points six times over the course of the 17-game season.
Dallas was not too interested in their final game of the regular season. The result can be discarded when analyzing the team. They have otherwise been cooking on offense lately with three games in their last five when they scored 40 or more points. In the other two games, they weren’t exactly slouches as they scored 27 a piece. For point differential, Dallas is +125 on the season and they might just hammer the Bucs on Monday.
Take Dallas to cover the -2.5 spread in this game. The odds are -110 with bet365 (10/11).
