The first game of Week 12 will be part of the triple-header on Thursday. The Buffalo Bills will be on the road in Detroit for the second week in a row. This week, they will actually face the Lions in a game where Buffalo is set as a large favorite with Unibet (-9.5).
The Pick: Detroit +9.5 at -108 with Unibet
The Detroit Lions cannot be considered such large underdogs in this game. Firstly, this is a team that has won three in a row. Their most recent victory came over the New York Giants in a game that New York hosted. The spread was large in Detroit’s favor against the Giants, winning 31-18. Returning home, this is the point in the season where Detroit’s confidence has to be at its highest.
Buffalo Bills injury report for Week 12
Buffalo doesn’t have a great injury report if only because their quarterback is on it. Josh Allen has been limited in practice so far this week. He is on the injury report with an injured right elbow and, as of late Tuesday, he was considered questionable. Center Mitch Morse is also questionable as are a couple of defensive starters.
Detroit started the week with ten players on their injury report. Center Frank Ragnow and Josh Reynolds both improved between Monday and Tuesday from non-participants in practice to limited participants. However, they are the ones to watch in the lead-up to this game.
Returning to the Allen injury, we’ve seen this before out of Buffalo. Last week, Allen was questionable all week and then played. It’s hard to not to think of that so betters should assume that Allen is on the “probable” side of questionable.
However, +9.5 looks like too big of a handicap on the Lions. Buffalo has only covered -9.5 on the road once this season and that was in Week 1 against the LA Rams. Detroit’s playing better now than LA has all season.
