We published our own Top Ten NFL Power Rankings after the Monday game in Week 8. In this article, we’re taking a look around the web at what other sites think. Have a look at the shortlists below to see what NFL.com, ESPN, and CBS have for their top five teams.
Dan Hanzus puts a 4-4 team as his No. 5 team? The win over the LA Rams seemed to impress him. Also, he likes the McCaffrey trade. LA has not been a high-ranked team for a few weeks now. In our rankings, ‘cisco rises to No. 5 if they keep winning. How you ranked a 4-4 team over top of a 6-1 team (ie. Minnesota) is perplexing.
These rankings are reasonable. These are the same teams we have in our top five but we have KC and Minnesota switched around.
Philadelphia or Buffalo? The debate continues. CBS keeps Philly right at the top as they have done for weeks now. The record speaks for itself but there’s a question of scheduling strength for the Eagles.
The next game that will have an impact on power rankings is the Thursday night game. The Texans are considered the worst team in the NFL this season. Philly can’t prove much with a win but the Texans, with an upset, could sure take the Eagles down a peg.
