Tua Tagovailoa had 302 yards passing in Week 9. The Miami Dolphins are now 6-3 and looking like Super Bowl contenders again.
The Miami Dolphins defeated the Chicago Bears in Week 9. The game was a tricky one for the Dolphins as they edged the Bears 35-32. Tua Tagovailoa, the quarterback for Miami, passed for 302 yards in the game. It was the second straight game where he eclipsed 300 yards for passing.
Tagovailoa looked like the MVP candidate that he was before he missed games due to concussion protocols earlier this season. Against the Bears, he was 21 for 30, he passed for three touchdowns in the game, and he had no interceptions. His top receivers, Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, are definitely a part of his totals. They received for 143 yards and 85 yards respectively in Week 9.
Miami improved to 6-3 on the season. However, the Dolphins are 6-0 in games where Tagovailoa starts and finishes. They lost to the Cincinnati Bengals when Tagovailoa suffered an injury and had to be removed for a game. The Dolphins then lost two straight before returning to the win column in Week 7.
That Tagovailoa has returned to form following the missed games should have Dolphins’ backers feeling very optimistic about the team’s chances. The Dolphins were an each-way pick of ours to make and win the AFC championship game this season. Before the win over Chicago, the Dolphins were 12 to 1 with bet365. It will be interesting to see how much they presumingly shorten heading into Week 10, noting that the Buffalo Bills lost this week.
Following the early set of games on Sunday, Tagovailoa had the week high for passing yards. However, at the time of writing there were still four games to be played this week.
The Dolphins have a very tricky game coming up against the Cleveland Browns. The Browns were idle in Week 9 and should be in tip-top shape for Week 10.
