Tua Tagovailoa injury report after Wednesday - NFL Week 4

Are you wondering what's going on with the Tua Tagovailoa injury? Here's the information from Tuesday's practice.

Tua Tagovailoa's injury status improved between Monday and Tuesday in the NFL. The Miami Dolphins updated their injury report after Tuesday. However, his injury status did not improve after practice on Wednesday as per Miami's injury report. He remains questionable Miami's Week 4 against the Cincinnati Bengals. That game is scheduled to start on Thursday evening.

Tua Tagovailoa has an injured back and ankle

On Monday, Tagovailoa was listed as a "DNP" (ie. did not participate in practice). On Tuesday, he was listed as "LP" (limited participation in practice).

Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said Tagovailoa (ankle/back) would've been limited if the team practiced Tuesday and is considered questionable for Thursday's matchup against the Bengals, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.

Despite a 3-0 record, the Dolphins are considered underdogs in the upcoming contest. On Sunday, Miami was priced at +120 (6 to 5) but they have drifted out to +175 (17 to 10) with bet365 sportsbook. The odds drifting has occurred in the midst of the Tagovailoa injury concerns and his questionable playing status. The report says that there is a back and ankle problem.

More than just Tua injured

The Dolphins actually have a very long list of players on the injury report. 15 players appear on the report for varying reasons while Cincinnati has just nine. They truly look like they suffered a beating in Week 3, despite beating the Buffalo Bills.

Usually, we have our Thursday night preview posted on Tuesday night. However, with Miami's QB1's participation unclear, we'll have to wait until the injury report is posted after Wednesday's practice. If Tagovailoa is downgraded from questionable to "doubtful" or "out," then Teddy Bridgewater would probably get the start.
