Tampa Bay Bucs: biggest favorite in Week 7

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have fallen to 3-3. In Week 6, the Bucs lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers and Tom Brady’s offense was not in sync. The Bucs managed just 18 points in the loss, one that discredits the team as Pittsburgh had emerged as a favorite for the worst record in the NFL. Tampa Bay double-digit favorite in Week 7

The Bucs will go on the road to face the Carolina Panthers, a team that is reeling after a 1-5 start to the season. TB, on early-week odds, is -10.0 with bet365, the largest spread for the week at the time of writing (one game was off the board).

The Panthers at +10 might be worth a look after injury reports start coming out. After all, the Bucs are not scoring too many points. Tom Brady’s offense is stagnant

Tom Brady has been in the news more for kicking people and pickleball lately than passing or touchdowns. The 45-year-old QB was 25 for 40 in Week 6 for 243 yards and he had just one passing touchdown. The Bucs seemed to leave some points on the board early in the game when they settled for field goals on what looked like prime opportunities to score touchdowns.

The Bucs vs Panthers game will be played as part of Week 7’s early set. The game has some intrigue because there doesn’t seem to be a dominant team in the NFC South so far this season. Atlanta and TB are the frontrunners with just 3-3 records. With a 1-5 record, Carolina can’t quite write their season off yet just because it a couple of strong weeks can go a long way when you are in a weak division.
