We already brought here a recap of every move that happened in the NFL these past weeks in the QB position, in the WR and TE position and in the OL and DL position. Now it is time to check out all the running backs trades in the NFL. Spoiler alert: just like the quarterbacks, we have a lot of shocking trades with the RBs.

Chase Edmonds, Broncos

Starting off the list with a simple one. Six days ago, the Denver Broncos released RB Chase Edmonds after half of a season with the team.

Raheem Mostert, Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins are extending Raheem Mostert’s contract after one season with the franchise. The new deal is worth $5.6 million over the next two years.

Jeff Wilson, Dolphins

Another RB that Miami is keeping is Jeff Wilson. After a half-season with the Dolphins, the franchise is re-signing the player with a two-year, $8 million deal.

Rashaad Penny, Eagles

Now we will start with the shocking news. After missing most of last season with the Seahawks due to an injury, Rashaad Penny lost space in Seattle as Kenneth Walker III rose his talent to the NFL world. Now Penny will try his comeback in a new home: Philadelphia. They signed a three-year, $38 million contract.

Boston Scott, Eagles

Also, the Philadelphia Eagles are re-signing Boston Scott for another year, with a $2 million contract. He will share the snaps with Rashaad Penny.

Miles Sanders, Panthers

However, the Eagles couldn’t keep one of their best RBs last season as Miles Sanders is joining the Carolina Panthers. The player and the team agreed on a four-year, $25 million deal.

Samaje Perine, Broncos

One of the greatest surprises last season was seeing Samaje Perine rise with the Cincinnati Bengals. Now he will continue to wear orange but now in Denver. He is joining the Broncos on a two-year, $7.5 million contract.

David Montgomery, Lions

One of the only good things in Chicago last season was the ground game. Justin Fields and David Montgomery did what they could, but the team had the worst record in the league anyways. Now Montgomery is leaving and signing a three-year, $18 million contract with the Lions.

Jamaal Williams, Saints

The Lions signed Montgomery because they lost their best RB, Jamaal Williams. The leader in rushing touchdowns last season is now joining the New Orleans Saints on a three-year, $12 million deal to share snaps with Alvin Kamara.

Ezekiel Elliott, Cowboys

Another huge shock in the NFL world is this one here. As we brought up yesterday, the Dallas Cowboys are releasing Ezekiel Elliott after seven years.

Alexander Mattison, Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings worked a two-year, $7 million deal to extend RB Alexander Mattison’s contract.

James Robinson, Patriots

The New England Patriots are signing former Jaguars RB James Robinson on a two-year, $8 million deal.
