Recent NFL news heading into NFL Week 11

Recent NFL news heading into Sunday of Week 11. Taylor Heinecke is in while Arizona is questionable at the QB position.

The bulk of the Week 11 games will be played on Sunday. Coming up in the morning set are several games that are starting to have clear playoff implications.

The Baltimore Ravens are heavy favorites (all odds and spreads bet365) against the Carolina Panthers. A Ravens win would keep their position safe atop the AFC North while basically ending Carolina's hopes for a playoff push, hopes that are already dismal. The news with this game is that Baker Mayfield will be starting in what looks like Carolina's last gasp.

Atlanta favored to beat Chicago

The Atlanta Falcons will be looking to inject some more optimism into their playoff aspirations. They will host the Chicago Bears as -2.5 favorites. Atlanta is still in the thick of things in the NFC South but Tampa Bay has won two straight. The Bears can't afford to let a game against a beatable Bears team go to waste in Week 11.

The Buffalo Bills, the New York Giants, and the Philadelphia Eagles all have something in common this week. They are all favored early on Sunday against teams with losing records. Chances are one of these teams will lose and come back to the pack a little bit. The Bills are the one facing the non-standard week as they saw their home-turf advantage go out the window when Mother Nature sent a snowstorm to northern New York.

In another game that's part of the morning set, the Washington Commanders will continue to roll with Taylor Heinecke. He was the quarterback at the helm last week when the Commanders beat the Philadelphia Eagles. If Washington can beat Philly, it stands to reason that they should be able to handle the Houston Texans the Sunday morning.

The Washington Commanders will stick with Taylor Heinicke as their starting quarterback as long as he continues to play well and the team keeps winning, a source confirmed to ESPN.

Monday night football Week 11: Arizona in deep trouble

The Monday night game this week will be between the San Francisco 49ers and the Arizona Cardinals. The Cards will host the game but San Francisco is a -8.0 favorite for the showdown. Each team has to be thinking "must win" as the 49ers are just 5-4 as they make plans for a playoff run. The Cards are major afterthoughts for post-season success but at 4-6 there's still a glimmer of hope if they can start a run.

Injuries may yet derail Arizona's plans.

DeAndre Hopkins has a hamstring problem and he is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the 49ers (Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area reported). The same source also listed QB1 Kyler Murray as questionable. Meanwhile, tight end Zach Ertz is done for the season. Arizona actually has a lot of injuries and they look like they are in danger of getting blown out in the game.
