Giants @ Eagles Saturday: New York’s season ends
With the loss, the Giants ended their season at 10-8-1, playoffs and regular season combined. This was a surprising season for them, one where they were not expected to make the playoffs, let alone the divisional round. Part of New York’s success has to be attributed to Saquon Barkley. His career has been injury plagued but this season he was able to stay healthy for his team.
Daniel Jones of the Giants was the losing quarterback in the game. He had 135 passing yards in the outing and his ratio of TDs to INTs was 0 to 1. Jones had a passer rating of 53.8 and the performance will be judged as a poor one.
Jalen Hurts passes for 154 yards
Meanwhile, the Eagles improved to 15-3 with the 31-point victory. Jalen Hurts was the winning quarterback in the game. He had just 154 passing yards in the outing but he kept the sheet clean for interceptions with a ratio of TDs to INTs of 2 to 0. Hurts had a passer rating of 112.2 thanks to a good completion percentage.
However, Philadelphia was most effective with its rushing attack. Kenneth Gainwell had 112 yards and Miles Sanders had 90. The Eagles look very dangerous offensively as they await the winner of the Dallas Cowboys and the San Francisco 49ers, two teams that will meet on Sunday.
