The Philadelphia Eagles, the No. 2 team in our NFL power rankings, defeated the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night in the NFL. The result improved the Eagles to 6-0 on the season and they remain the only undefeated team in the NFL. The Cowboys dropped to 4-2 but are positioned to make a run at the playoffs still. The final score in the game was Philadelphia 26, Dallas 17.

Game recap: Eagles vs Cowboys

Cooper Rush, the quarterback for the Cowboys, had his worst game as a starter this season. Rush was just 18 for 38 on passing and threw for only 181 yards in the contest. This was the first time this season that he looked like a true backup quarterback.

Rush passed for one touchdown, however, he was also intercepted three times. None of the receivers on Dallas came close to 100 yards receiving. Only Ezekiel Elliott had a good statistical game as he rushed for 81 yards on 13 carries.

On the other side of the ball, Jalen Hurts was 15 for 25 for 155 yards receiving. Miles Sanders had a rushing touchdown while AJ Brown and Devonta Smith had receiving touchdowns.

The Eagles rushed out to a 20-0 lead in the game before the Cowboys scored 17 unanswered to make things interesting. However, Rush was too flat on the night and Dallas was outmatched on the road.

What's next for both teams?

Next up for Dallas is a home game against the Detroit Lions. The Lions will be coming off of a bye week. The two teams will meet on Sunday in Week 7.

Next up for Philadelphia is a bye week. Then the Eagles will have three games that look like they should all be victories. The Eagles will face the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Houston Texans, and the Washington Commanders. A 9-0 start for the Eagles is very much possible for this team.
