Panthers vs Falcons injury report for Week 8. The Carolina Panthers are really banged up heading into the Week 8 game with Atlanta.
The Carolina Panthers scored a shock win in Week 7. They will try to follow up their victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a road victory over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 8. Here’s a look at the Panthers vs Falcons injury report for Week 8.
The Carolina Panthers listed a lot of names on their injury report. No less than 15 players were included on their side of the list. Following practice on Thursday, six of these players were full participants in practice. However, there is still a large volume of players that the Panthers are keeping tabs on this week.
Running back Chuba Hubbard is questionable to play in Week 8. He had a decent game last week in the win against the Bucs. For a team that traded away their star running back, Christian McCaffrey, earlier this month, the Panthers can’t afford to get much thinner in the running back position. Hubbard has an ankle injury and he is a non-participant for both Wednesday and Thursday.
Guard Austin Corbett was limited on Thursday. He has a knee injury. He remains questionable for the upcoming game against the Falcons. Defensive starters Jaycee Horn, Myles Hartsfield, and Matt Ioannidis all appeared on the injury report as well and are questionable to play. QB Baker Mayfield does not appear on the injury report, however, it’s thought that PJ Walker will get the start following the win over Tampa Bay.
The Atlanta Falcons do not have an extensive injury report for Week 8. They listed just four players on the report: AJ Terrell, Jaylinn Hawkins (OUT), Dee Alford, and Caleb Huntley. Terrell and Hawkins are defensive starters. Huntley is part of the team’s running back core behind Tyler Allgeier. Atlanta backers will keep in mind that Cordarelle Patterson, their best running back, remains out. Players on the injured reserve are not on the ijury report.
