The New Orleans Saints and Arizona Cardinals updated their injury reports following practice on Tuesday. There are some key players that started the week on the injury report that bettors need to be following. With the short week, these players do not have much time to improve for Thursday’s game.

New Orleans’ key injuries after Tuesday’s practice

Running back Mark Ingram started the week limited for New Orleans. He has a problem with his knee. Ingram remained limited in practice on Tuesday and that leaves his status for Thursday night questionable.

New Orleans quarterbacks, Jameis Winston and Andy Dalton, both started the week as limited as well. Winston had a back and ankle problem while QB2 Dalton started the week with only a back problem. Each quarterback was limited in practice on Monday and each was limited on Tuesday as well. That makes them each questionable for Thursday (which is starting to call into question who will quarterback for the team).

As of early Wednesday, you would think that it would be Dalton or Winston who will still get the start. Taysom Hill is the team’s QB3.

Arizona Cardinals key names on their injury report

James Conner is the most key player on Arizona’s injury report. Conner is not looking good due to rib problems. He was DNP (did not participate) for Monday’s practice. He had the same status for Tuesday’s practice.

The Cardinals could be really thin in the running back position on Thursday. Eno Benjamin and Darrel Williams are also on the injury report, the RB2 and RB3 for the team. Benjamin has a foot problem and he went from limited on Monday to DNP on Tuesday. Williams did not participate on either Monday or Tuesday.

It will be interesting to see which team wins this war of attrition. However, if New Orleans ended up missing both of their top two quarterbacks that would be a bigger gap to fill than Arizona missing their running backs. QB1 Kyler Murray is an athletic quarterback who is capable of assuming increased rushing duties.

Be sure to stay tuned for Wednesday’s post-practice injury report.
