NFL Week 3 Power Rankings - Speculation

NFL Week 3 Power Rankings will come out on Tuesday with most publications. Here's a preview of where most will rank the various teams.

The bulk of the games are over in the NFL's Week 2 schedule. Monday night will still feature a couple of important teams as the Minnesota Vikings will be in action and so will the Buffalo Bills. The Bills were the No. 2 team in our power rankings last week so with them in action, nothing is set yet. However, with most of the games complete, we can start speculating on where teams will fit into the NFL Week 3 Power Rankings.

Kansas City Chiefs Will be High in NFL Week 3 Power Rankings

Provided that Buffalo defeats the Tennessee Titans, most will have the Bills as either No. 1 or No. 2 in their NFL power rankings. If Buffalo should lose, then expect most publishers to have the Kansas Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as No. 1 and No. 2, although not necessarily in that order.

The Chiefs had one of the better wins of Week 2. They were up against an elite team in the Los Angeles Chargers and came away with a victory, albeit only a slight one at home. On Sunday, the Bucs doubled up the New Orleans Saints in a game that the Saints hosted. A lot of publishers had New Orleans decently ranked in Week 2 so TB getting a road win over them is a checkmark in the Bucs' favor.

Miami Dolphins should enter the radar

The Miami Dolphins should make the Top Ten in a lot of power rankings. It would be overly critical not to recognize their 2-0 record when one of the wins came over Baltimore in a game that the Ravens hosted.

The New York Giants might also enter the radar for some publications. The Giants are 2-0 but the knock against them will be simple. Their combined spreads amount to just four points. Unless you think Tennessee is a good team this year, it's hard to rate the Giants all that high.

But presumptively, the top three teams will be the KC Chiefs, the Buffalo Bills (if they win on Monday), and the TB Bucs. The bottom dwellers will probably be the Carolina Panthers, the Atlanta Falcons, and the Houston Texans.
