The Monday night game that concluded Week 14 saw the New England Patriots improve to 7-6 on the season. They defeated the Arizona Cardinals in a disappointing game for competitiveness. The final score was 27-13 in New England’s favor.
While the Patriots are in playoff position following Week 14, they still aren’t among our top ten for NFL Power Rankings. For the second straight week and third overall this season, the Philadelphia Eagles are on top as we look ahead to Week 15.
None of the top teams took a bad loss in Week 14. The Dallas Cowboys flirted with losing to the Houston Texans, a result that would have led to a rankings crash. However, Dallas managed to prevail in the game thanks to a last-minute touchdown.
The Minnesota Vikings were the highest-ranked team that lost in Week 14. They fell to the Detroit Lions, however, a lot of pundits already considered Minnesota to be an overblown team despite holding a victory over the Bills.
Looking ahead at Week 15, one game involving top teams will take place on Saturday evening. The Miami Dolphins will face the Buffalo Bills in a game that Buffalo will host. The way the two teams have played lately, Buffalo could be a moderate favorite in the game. At the time of writing, the game was off the board, possibly due to pending injury updates involving the Dolphins, who played in Sunday’s late game.
There are no other games in Week 15 involving two teams in our above list. However, there are plenty of interesting games as teams try to position themselves for the playoffs.
