The Buffalo Bills lost in Week 9 as they fell to their divisional rivals, the New York Jets. The result means that the Bills will take a tumble in our weekly Top Ten NFL Power Rankings. The Bills had held the No. 1 spot for a number of weeks, however, the Philadelphia Eagles are now the No. 1 team. They are 8-0 on the season following their Thursday night victory over the Houston Texans.

Readers should note, that the rankings below are not adjusted for recent headlines. For instance, Josh Allen’s playing status is questionable for Week 10 and his Bills could be underdogs in the week. Our power rankings aren’t predictions of what will transpire in the future but an assessment of what has happened on the field already. The number in brackets refers to a rise or drop relative to last week.

Top Ten NFL Power Rankings heading into Week 10

  1. Philadelphia Eagles 8-0 (+1)
  2. Minnesota Vikings 7-1 (+1)
  3. Buffalo Bills 6-2 (-2)
  4. Miami Dolphins 6-3 (+3)
  5. Dallas Cowboys 6-2 (-1)
  6. New York Jets 6-3 (not ranked)
  7. Kansas City Chiefs 6-2 (-2)
  8. New York Giants 6-2 (-2)
  9. Baltimore Ravens 6-3 (-1)
  10. Seattle Seahawks 6-3 (+1)

It could be argued that Philadelphia has had a soft schedule this season. However, the bottom line is that they handed the Minnesota Vikings their only loss. Also, the Vikings beat the Dallas Cowboys. When they beat Minnesota, it wasn’t clear how good the Vikings were, however, the significance of that win has only increased over the weeks. The Eagles will host the Washington Commanders next Monday.

Vikings vs Bills in Week 10

The big game coming up in Week 10 will be between the Minnesota Vikings and the Buffalo Bills. The news regarding Josh Allen will be huge for this game. He is currently being evaluated for an injury that could affect his playing status next week.

Miami as our fourth-ranked team isn’t meant to discount the losses that they suffered. This is a team that beat Buffalo and Baltimore before the concussion protocols with Tua Tagovailoa. Two road wins in their two most recent games show that this is a team that’s ready to contend again.
