NFL Headlines: Injury Updates for Week 2's NFL Games

Justin Simmons of the Denver Broncos is out with a thigh injury. Jeff Legwold headlined for ESPN on Wednesday evening "Denver Broncos place star safety Justin Simmons on injured reserve with thigh injury" (September 14th, 2022). The meat of the news is that Simmons will miss a minimum of four games.

Another headline from ESPN has to do with the Thursday night contest. "Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker, Los Angeles Chargers receiver Keenan Allen ruled out" comes from Adam Teicher. The meat of this article is that Butker has an injured ankle and wide receiver Allen, among others, is also out.

Marc Sessler offers quarterback rankings

NFL.com recently posted an article that was more opinionated in nature. Marc Sessler offered his take on who is who right now when it comes to the best quarterbacks in the NFL. On the top of his list is Josh Allen and No. 2 is Patrick Allen: "NFL QB Index, Week 2: Josh Allen claims the No. 1 spot, but Patrick Mahomes is hot on his heels" (September 14th, 2022). At the bottom of the list are both Joe Flacco and Cooper Rush, the latter being the QB that will replace Dak Prescott for the time being.
