Los Angeles Chargers vs Denver Broncos game recap. The Chargers and Broncos played on Monday night to conclude NFL Week 6.
The Los Angeles Chargers defeated the Denver Broncos on Monday night, a game that concluded Week 6 in the NFL. The final score in the offensive struggle was Los Angeles 19, Denver 16 (OT). With the win, the Chargers improved to 4-2 on the season while the Broncos dropped to 2-4.
A statistical recap of the game starts with the quarterbacks. Neither Russell Wilson nor Justin Herbert played particularly well in the contest. Wilson was 15 for 28 on passing for just 188 yards. Meanwhile, Herbert was 37 for 57 for 238 yards. However, Herbert threw an interception, he had no passing TDs, and his average pass was just for 4.2 yards.
The top rusher in the game was Latavius Murray, Denver’s running back. He ran for 66 yards in the contest. Meanwhile, his counterpart, Austin Ekeler, had just 36 yards in the game. That was a poor follow-up to the 173 yards that Ekeler had last week.
Joshua Palmer led all receivers in the offensive struggle. He caught for 57 yards in the game for the Chargers.
Dustin Hopkins, LA’s field goal kicker, was 4 for 4 in the game. That included the overtime winner after the Broncos muffed a punt in their half of the field and the Chargers recovered. Brandon McManus was also sharp in the game for Denver as he hit all three of his field goal attempts.
Next up for Denver is a Week 7 affair hosting the New York Jets. This was a game that seemed like it would be one of the easy ones in their schedule. However, the Jets are 4-2 on the season so far and can’t be considered a pushover any longer.
Next up for Los Angeles is a tricky game hosting the 3-3 Seattle Seahawks. Seattle has surprised many as well. Most would not have thought that Geno Smith would have led the Seahawks to an even record at this point.
