As if the Tampa Bay Buccaneers didn’t pass the ball enough, they now have one more reason to. Leonard Fournette, the team’s top running back, is on the injury report for the team’s Week 12 game against the Cleveland Browns. Fournette is the highest-profile name on the Buccaneers’ half of the report. He was limited in practice on Wednesday due to a hip injury.
Fournette has 462 rushing yards this season. His only 100+ yards rushing game this season came back in Week 1 when he had 127 yards on the ground. Nobody rushes less than the Bucs in the NFL: entering Week 12, they have just 707 yards on the whole season. That places them dead last in that category.
Wednesday injury report: Bucs vs Browns
The injury report for Wednesday is the first of three for the week. Fournette could see his status improve on either Thursday or Friday. After that, he would likely become a game-day decision if he is still questionable.
The Bucs listed a total of six players on their half of the report. Another player on the report is wide receiver, Russell Gage. He has been an injury report mainstay for the team over the last several weeks. Tampa Bay reported that he was a non-participant in practice due to a hamstring injury. He is questionable for Sunday’s Week 12 as well.
The Browns listed 13 players on their side of the report. However, some of the players are not actually injured.
For instance, Jadeveon Clowney and Myles Garrett, two defensive starters were both non-participants in practice. However, they were both being rested and no injury is listed. There were seven players on the report that had injuries listed. The other six had “illness” or “rest” listed.
