Game Recap: Matt Ryan outplayed Patrick Mahomes

Patrick Mahomes, who had one INT on Sunday, had too many incompletions in Week 3. He was 20 for 35 on passing yards and worked his way to a passer rating of just 78.5 for the game.

Matt Ryan had his first good game as a member of the Indianapolis Colts. His passer rating was 105.9 on 27 for 37 yards.

Kansas City's rushing was almost entirely absent in the game. Mahomes actually led the team with 26 yards on the ground. KC's receiving core had a solid enough nucleus but none of them caught for over 100 yards.

The defining play of the game came on the final drive. Jelani Woods scored with 24 seconds to go to take the lead. That almost gave Mahomes enough time to set up a field-goal attempt, however, a deflected pass ended up as the KC QB's solo INT on the day.
