The New York Giants defeated the Minnesota Vikings on Wild Card Weekend. They, the Giants, will be in Philadelphia on January 21st, 2023 to take on the Eagles.

New York is +7.5 (bet365) on the spread as they prepare for this Divisional Round game, one that will take place on Saturday. The injury report for the game has recently been updated.

  • DNP: did not participate in practice
  • LP: limited participant in practice
  • FP: full participant in practice

Julian Love: LP on Tuesday after practice

Neither team is in particularly bad shape. The Giants had to play last weekend, however, they were in coast mode for the final weekend of the regular season. That enabled them to reduce the snap of their best players and that appears to be paying dividends right now.

The injury report did list Julian Love, the strong safety for New York. Love, as of Tuesday after practice, has a problem with his hamstring, according to the report. The following teammates of his, among others, were LP due to injuries (ie. not rest) on the report for New York: Isaiah Hodkins and Fabian Moreau. In total, New York had seven players listed on their half of the injury report. However, none of them were DNP on Tuesday so they have some promise to be near full health come Saturday.

Philadelphia lists four players on their half of the report

Meanwhile, Philadelphia had four players listed on their half of the report. This was a team that did not have to contest a game on Wild Card Weekend as they earned the bye through the first round.

Accordingly, they enter the Divisional Round in very good physical shape. However, cornerback Avonte Maddox was DNP on Tuesday due to a toe injury. Importantly, Jalen Hurts (pictured), who appeared on late-season injury reports, did not appear on the injury report for the Divisional Round.
