Wild Card Weekend will unfold this weekend. As part of the Sunday triple-header, the Miami Dolphins will be in Buffalo on January 15th, 2023. They are +13.0 (bet365) on the spread for the game as they prepare to face the Buffalo Bills in a game that is not expected to be competitive. The injury report for the game has recently been updated and it is a really bad report for the Miami Dolphins.

  • DNP: did not participate in practice
  • LP: limited participant in practice
  • FP: full participant in practice

Tua Tagovailoa: DNP/Out on Wednesday after practice

The injury report listed Tua Tagovailoa, the quarterback for Miami. He has had concussion problems for a lot of the season. They have continued and Miami’s season is jeopardized, in kind. Miami’s coaching staff announced that Tagovailoa would be out for the game on Wednesday.

To make matters worse, both of Miami’s backup quarterbacks were listed on the injury report: Skylar Thompson and Teddy Bridgewater. The former was FP, at least, but Bridgewater was limited. In total, Miami had seventeen players listed on their half of the injury report, which is a lot relative to the other playoff qualifiers and Buffalo. The Dolphins, at first glance, don’t look like they even have much of a prayer in this contest.

Buffalo lists six players on their half of the report

Buffalo listed just six players on their half of the report. They included Josh Allen with his right elbow problem, however, he was a full participant in Buffalo’s practice. Allen has been on every injury report since Week 10 with his elbow problem. Three players were DNP: Jordan Poyer, Jordan Phillips, and Roger Saffold. In short, the Bills are in much better shape than Miami heading into this game.
