Dolphins vs Bears injury report for their Week 9 game. Here’s a look at the report after practice on Friday.
We had another look at the injury report for the Miami Dolphins vs Chicago Bears game for Week 9. The report sharply favored the Bears at the start of the week. They had relatively few players on their half of the list compared to the Dolphins following Wednesday’s practice.
However, the Bears were a trade deadline seller while the Dolphins were a buyer. Accordingly, Miami is set as a -5.0 favorite for the Week 9 game.
The Chicago Bears listed just five players on their side of the report. Four of those players were full participants in Friday’s practice. The report does not contain any significant bad news for the Bears.
It was just a couple of weeks ago when the Bears were entering their Week 7 game in really good health. What transpired was a one-sided victory over the New England Patriots. If the Bears had not shipped out some good players in the last couple of weeks, then they might be poised for an upset against Miami.
At first glance, the Miami Dolphins’ injury report looks huge. They list no fewer than 23 names on their side of the report. However, a lot of the players on the report did not participate in practice because of rest issues early in the week. Most of the players on the report were full participants in Friday’s practice. Raheem Mostert, Bradley Chubb, Jeff Wilson, and Jaylen Waddle were on the report for Wednesday but they seem to be red herrings.
The Chicago Bears would still be the winners in the battle of the injury report this week. However, Miami retained their best players and added other quality ones ahead of the trade deadline. That puts them in a better winning position than Chicago in Week 9.
