The last game of the divisional round will come from the west coast on Sunday evening. The Dallas Cowboys will be in San Francisco on January 22nd, 2023 to take on the 49ers. The Cowboys are +3.5 (Unibet) on the spread for the game as they prepare for this Divisional Round showdown. This is a point in the season that the team has not been to since the 2018 NFL season.
Jimmy Garoppolo: DNP on Wednesday after practice
The injury report for the game is not a long one for either team. Both teams seem to be in reasonable health heading into this anticipated matchup. Firstly, here’s a legend of the common abbreviations that are used on injury reports.
- DNP: did not participate in practice
- LP: limited participant in practice
- FP: full participant in practice
The injury report listed Jimmy Garoppolo, the quarterback for San Francisco. His inclusion on the injury report comes as no surprise. Furthermore, it is not necessarily even a major loss as Brock Purdy, San Fran’s QB3, has been very effective in his appearances. Garoppolo, as of Wednesday after practice, has a problem with his foot, something that will only affect Sunday’s game if Purdy is not able to play for some reason.
Ambry Thomas (DNP/ankle) also appeared on the report. In total, San Francisco had six players listed on their half of the injury report but one of those, Trent Williams, was being rested. It’s not a bad report San Francisco as they head into this home game.

Meanwhile, Dallas also had six players listed on their half of the report. However, three of the players that were listed were FP, meaning they participated in practice in full. Jason Peters is one player that is DNP, the team’s offensive tackle. There were also a couple of other players that were limited, including safety Jayron Kearse. In a way, it’s not a terrible injury report, however, Dallas has the worse report relative to their opponent.
