Chargers vs Jaguars: NFL Wild Card Weekend injury report

Chargers vs Jaguars injury report for the Wild Card Weekend game. Trevor Lawrence of Jacksonville was LP on Tuesday after practice.

The Los Angeles Chargers, the top Wild Card entrant in the AFC, will be in Jacksonville on January 14th, 2023. The Chargers are -1.5 (Unibet) on the spread for the game as they prepare to face the Jacksonville Jaguars in Wild Card Weekend (Saturday). The Jags are surprising entrants into the playoffs but will host this weekend after winning their division.

The injury report for the game, which is the late game on Saturday, has recently been updated. The report is not a long one, however, there is an important player to keep an eye on.

Trevor Lawrence: LP on Tuesday after practice

The injury report listed Trevor Lawrence, the quarterback for Jacksonville. Lawrence, as of Tuesday after practice, has a problem with his toe, according to the report. Lawrence has been on other injury reports in recent weeks and did not miss a game. Technically, he is questionable for Wild Card Weekend, however, the pattern with Lawrence is that he has appeared in recent games after starting the week as questionable.

The following teammates of his were DNP due to injuries (ie. not rest) on the report for Jacksonville: Riley Patterson and Ross Matiscik. In total, Jacksonville had five players listed on their half of the injury report. That certainly is not a large number, however, they have the worse half of the report due to the fact that their QB is limited.

Los Angeles lists seven players on their half of the report

Meanwhile, Los Angeles had seven players listed on their half of the report. That said, only Mike Williams, a wide receiver was DNP. In fact, the Chargers did not list anyone as LP on the report. Of the seven players they listed, they have six as full participants in Tuesday's practice. The Chargers do look like they are in very good condition heading into this game. That's not surprising since Jacksonville had to win in Week 18 while the Chargers were in a position where they could rest as they had their playoff seed locked up earlier.

The injury report will be updated on Wednesday and Thursday. Bettors thinking of backing the Jags will definitely want to see Lawrence's status improve.
