After announcing the upcoming change two weeks ago, Arizona is showing its new outfit for the first time
Two weeks ago we brought here a piece of news saying that the Arizona Cardinals were reportedly changing their outfit. This was confirmed last night as the Cardinals are revealing their new uniforms. They are keeping the colours of last seasons’ unis but now with a clean visual.
As the home uniform, they will keep their traditional all-red, but now with only a few details in white on the pants. The jersey also brings the word “Arizona”, the numbers and names also in white. White will also remain as the helmet colour.
The second uniform, the away one, is now all white. From the helmet to the socks, the team will wear clean white unis. In the pants and in the jersey there are some details in red, including the numbers and names.
Finally, the alternate uniforms will also have alternate helmets. From the head to the feet, players will wear all black when using the third outfit. The numbers in the jersey will also be red, as well as some details on the sleeve.
This is the first major change in the Arizona Cardinals uniforms since 2005. The red and the black jerseys are still similar to the old ones, with some minor changes. On the other hand, the white jerseys are much cleaner without the old red details. Another major change is the combination. In the past, red jerseys had white pants and vice-versa. Now the uniforms are monochromatic.
When a team has the third-overall pick it is right to assume they had a terrible last season. In this case, you are absolutely right. The Arizona Cardinals finished the season with a 4-13 record, being the third-worst team in the league.
During this offseason, they fired Kliff Kingsbury from the head coach position and hired the former Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator, Jonathan Gannon, for the vacancy. No other major changes were made so far. During the free agency, their biggest acquisition was WR Zach Pascal, also from Philly.
