49ers vs Seahawks injury report - NFL Week 15

49ers vs Seahawks injury report for NFL Week 15. The Seahawks look like they are in a lot better shape than the 49ers this week.

The San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks will meet on Thursday night this week. When it comes to short weeks for rest, the injuries that a team sustained in the previous week are more serious since there's less time for the players to recover. The 49ers and the Seahawks updated their injury reports after practice on Tuesday. Here's a look at what both teams are reporting.

San Francisco 49ers injury report for NFL Week 15

Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has still avoided the injured reserve. He was named on the injury report for Week 15 as a non-participant in practice due to his foot injury. It's understood that he will not be playing on Thursday night.

His backup, Brock Purdy, is also on the injury report. He was limited in practice on both Monday and Tuesday. San Francisco described his injury as a double problem with his oblique and with a rib.

In total, San Francisco listed eleven players on their report. Deebo Samuel is out with both an ankle and knee injury. Meanwhile, Christian McCaffrey has been limited so far this week in practice. The 49ers describe a knee injury for their running back. It certainly is a deep injury report for San Francisco and the short week could complicate their chances of winning on the road in Week 15.

Seattle Seahawks injury report for NFL Week 15

The Seattle Seahawks listed eleven players on their half of the injury report. They included two key offensive starters, Kenneth Walker III and DK Metcalf.

Walker, the team's running back, is on the report with an ankle injury. However, his practice status improved between Monday and Tuesday. He went from a limited participant to open the week to a full participant on Tuesday. Metcalf has a hip problem that Seattle is keeping tabs on, however, he's active for Week 15 after being a full participant on Monday.

As the injury report looks following Tuesday's practice, it's easily the San Francisco 49ers that are in rougher shape. Their key players remain questionable while Seattle's key players are active. Both teams have supporting players that are on the report but the 49ers are already playing a third-string quarterback. If he's not 100%, then they might play a fourth-string quarterback. Few teams actually know what that looks like.
