Zach Wilson, the QB1 for the New York Jets, has not played since January 9th. However, the quarterback was listed as FP in the injury report for the New York Jets. That means he was a full participant in the practice. ESPN has toggled his playing status to “Active” for the first time in a long time.

Wilson was the No. 2 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. He did not have a successful rookie year last season. Besides the injury, his performance when not injured wasn’t the best. He had just a 33.4 QBR last season and a 55.4 completion percentage. The Jets went 3-10 in games where the rookie took snaps.

Zach Wilson inherits a 1-2 record from Joe Flacco, who will presumably be sidelined now. The Jets do have a winnable game in Week 4 as they travel to Pittsburgh to face the Steelers. Both teams are 1-2 and each will be happy to get to .500 on the season. Pittsburgh is just a -3 favorite with bet365 sportsbook. They would likely be stronger favorites, however, they lost their best defensive player, TJ Watt, after Week 1.

Other NFL injury news

The other NFL injury news involving major stars includes Tua Tagolaivoa. The quarterback for the Miami Dolphins is questionable as of Wednesday night. His Dolphins will face the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday in Week 4 so there is not much time for the QB to improve.

Also, Myles Garrett’s car accident has led to shoulder and bicep injuries. He is questionable for Week 4 as well. He is the best player on the Cleveland Browns.
