The Suns, who were playing without Devon Booker due to a groin problem, won the game in a contest that was not close at all as time expired. Phoenix put up a large double-digit margin of victory in the game, winning by 26 points. The final score was Los Angeles 104, Phoenix 130.

With the loss, the Lakers are now 13-17 on the season. They may take some solace in the fact that they played the game without LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook. Westbrook sat with a left foot injury while James was sidelined due to ankle soreness. Meanwhile, Anthony Davis will miss a month due to a recent foot injury, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

The Lakers are entering a dangerous time of their season. They had done well over the last few weeks to creep back toward a .500 record. However, the injury to Davis, with whatever ramifications take place, could be the beginning of the end of this version of the Lakers being competitive.

The leading scorer in the game was Dennis Schroder of Los Angeles. He had 30 points in the game, something Lakers fans might have mixed emotions about. It’s good to see Schroder performing well but he’s not the type of player that can keep it up every game.

Phoenix bouncing back at home

Meanwhile, the Suns improved to 19-12 with the 26-point victory. They had a stretch not long ago where they were really coming back to the pack. However, they’ve strung together three straight victories and have a good chance for a fourth on Tuesday. They will host the Washington Wizards, one of the worst teams in the association this season.
