Sacramento Kings: drawing some betting attention

The Sacramento Kings have done well lately and their win-total outlook has seen shortened odds. The Indiana Pacers also appear to have taken in some bets.

Earlier this week, we looked at the Sacramento Kings in our betting picks section. We noted that they were at EVEN odds to win more than 36.5 games this season. At the time, we thought that the bar was set pretty low for what looks like a quality team.

Since that article was published on November 16th, the oddsmakers and/or betting public have caught on. The Kings still have a 36.5 win total with bet365 but the odds on the OVER have shortened to -150 (2/3).

The Kings did win a game since Wednesday. They defeated the San Antonio Spurs 130-112. It was the second game in a row where Sacramento posted a really large spread. In their previous game, they defeated the Brooklyn Nets by 32 points.

The Kings have a long streak for playoff qualification futility. However, their fans will definitely be hoping for that streak to end this season. With a deep team and a starting lineup that can compete with any other team on a given night, there’s no reason to doubt the Kings this season.

Indiana Pacers drawing some betting attention too

Another team that has demanded notice is the Indiana Pacers. A couple of weeks ago, we looked at Indiana and noted that they were 25 to 1 to make it to the Eastern Conference’s play-in tournament. The Pacers have done alright over the last little while and they are currently on a three-game winning streak.

Of course, if they win too much then they will finish too high for the play-in tournament. That said, Indiana has shortened in the market over the last couple of weeks. They are currently 6 to 1 to make the play-in tournament with an 8-6 record heading into the weekend.
